This web site is a contribution to those who intend to be familiar with birds in Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. We will give you some ideas of which and where the different species can be found and observed.
The lists presented here are updated compilations of ornithologist records that have been published, and also as the results of observations done in different places of the state, since 1984. There are links in which you may see other sites for bird watching. You may also contribute to it by indicating your favorites.
